Established in 2002, Syston Karate club is located in Queniborough, making it accessible to all living in and around Syston and Queniborough.
The club has members ranging from beginners to 2nd Dan Black Belt. Members come from a broad range of professional and social backgrounds. Students range from 5 years old, through to adults.
Gradings are held regularly throughout the year, where students take an exam to achieve their next grade. For many young students this promotes self-confidence and a sense of achievement and motivation.
Additionally, students participate in courses run by Sensei Sahota and take part in an annual TISKA National Competition, giving students the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have learnt and developed through their training.Classes in Syston
TISKA Syston is run by resident club instructor Mr D Popat (5th Dan). Mr Popat took up karate as an activity with his young daughter at the Leicester club. Mr Popat was awarded 1st dan black belt (shodan) 4 years later.

Alongside the instruction of Mr Popat, students will be supported by Mrs A Popat (4th Dan). TISKA Syston is a family run club, We therefore heavily encourage the spport of families both within the training environment and at home.
